AirBridgeCargo Airlines, part of Volga-Dnepr Group, is launching new B747 freighter service from one of its European gateways. Amsterdam is now ready to offer ABC’s customers scheduled flight to Tokyo, Japan.
In response to meeting the demands of ABC’s freight forwarding customers the Russian carrier is planning to launch B747 – 400 Amsterdam – Narita route under coming winter schedule. The flights are to be operated every Wednesday via ABC’s hub in Sheremetyevo airport, Moscow. Besides Narita cargo onboard ABC will be able to carry shipments to all other destinations within its network which can be easily offloaded in Sheremetyevo for the next connecting flight to other Asian destinations such as Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. Narita destination was included in ABC’s network back in September, 2007 which signified AirBridgeCargo’s interest in the Japanese market. For more than two years ABC has steadily been developing its presence at the Japanese market as one of the key markets of air freight industry. Introduction of Amsterdam – Narita route is another step in ABC’s strategy.
Tatyana Arslanova, ABC’s Executive Senior Vice President, Strategy, Marketing and Sales, said: “New route is a part of our network plan that will give long term consistency of our product. We will continue to work closely with our freight forwarding partners to provide capacity when and where they need it.”
